Have you ever asked for something in your mind, and then stumbled upon just what you were looking for? That’s what happened with this extraordinary product. I had been thinking that I should really get into meditation because I felt like it would support me with all the chaos of running a family, especially in a our new home in Massachusetts, 3k miles from all my best girlfriends and family. I needed to increase my spirituality and to live more consciously for both myself, my children and my marriage. I had a conversation with my husband regarding meditation and literally the next morning I stumbled upon @disKNEKT’s Instagram which was very intriguing to say the least.
I decided to connect with them to learn more about their product because it seemed to be just what I was looking for as a meditation “newbie,” yet even better because there was a “life coaching” motivational element involved and they were promising magic. They sent me their form and I filled it out in brutally honest detail.
We connected right away, and I ended up getting to personally talk with the founder, @BethanyLondyn, who I found very sweet and incredibly easy to chat with… Why can’t I hire her to be my long distance life-coach, guru, therapist? Haha! This new company was basically a spin off from her “Miracle in 30” product to reach a greater audience. She’s ended up sending me what they call a “disKNEKTION” audio experience for me to listen to after I answered a few questions online. As soon as I received it in my email, I was excited, I downloaded to listen to right away. WOW! I honestly don’t really know what to say, but this approximate 15-minute guided prayer meditation by Bethany is sooo calming.
In the past few months, I have been meditating as part of my regular schedule, usually in the evenings with my headphones in listening to a custom meditation designed by Bethany Londyn. In the first day I did it, there was a subtle difference – not really noticeable, I slept well and woke up refreshed… perhaps arguably attributable to all the wonderful information I had heard regarding meditation. However, as I continued to meditate the days after, the benefits became apparent. I experienced clear changes within myself (my thoughts, my emotions, my ‘vices’), as well as my interactions with the world (my view of reality, my reactions toward external events, etc).
It definitely “disKNEKTED” me from reality where I came back feeling at peace. At first, I thought it’d be hard to find even 15 minutes alone each day to listen, but I’ve been listening as I fall asleep often waking up with my ear buds in my bed. It’s kind of just what the Doctor ordered. The coaching aspect on top of it brings fresh energy each time I listen to it as well. I can’t wait for my next refresher meditation!
WHAT IS MEDITATION?
Meditation is the art of silencing the mind. When the mind is silent, concentration is increased and we experience inner peace in the midst of worldly turmoil. This elusive inner peace is what attracts so many people to meditation and is a quality everyone can benefit from.
Improved concentration – A clear mind makes you more productive, especially in creative disciplines like writing.
Less bothered by little things – Do you sometimes allow yourself to get upset by little things? It is the nature of the mind to magnify small things into serious problems. Meditation helps us detach. We learn to live in the here and now, rather than worrying about the past or future. We do not worry about meaningless things, but see the bigger picture.
Better Health – There have been numerous studies pointing to the health benefits of meditation. The reason is that meditation reduces stress levels and alleviates anxiety. If we can reduce stress, many health benefits follow.
Knowledge of Self – Meditation enables us to have a deeper understanding of our inner self. Through meditation we can gain a better understanding of our life’s purpose.
IS MEDITATION RELIGIOUS?
I was raised Catholic. The great thing about meditation is that the philosophy/religious belief is not important. Meditation is about consciousness. The beliefs of the mind become trivial. We dive deep into the heart of the matter to gain access to our soul – our inner reality. Therefore, mediation can (and is commonly) be practiced by people of different religions or no religion at all.
