The Depressing Adventure of Turning 40 Turned Positive
Updated: Feb 7, 2021
Last week was a rough one as I knew I was coming into my 40th birthday and coming down really hard on myself. All the negative crap that I'm normally an absolute pro at clearing, like I should weigh this much, look like this, have this family, be this, and I'm not yetttttt.
I went deep diving into personal development work creating lists like 40 Things I Love About Me, 40 Things I've Accomplished, 40 Things I'm Grateful For, 40 Crazy Things I've Manifested, etc. And... let me tell you absolutely none of these things were shifting my depressive state.
The shifts didn't happen until I wrote down all the things that were upsetting me, so instead of focusing on the good- I decided it was time to acknowledge what I was actually feeling.
I went through all the judgements and disappointments, every single one, then I acknowledged them and honored them through my energy healing work. I consciously knew that the majority of these were all self imposed ridiculous beliefs set upon me by societal pressures. I released every single emotion that was bogging me down and the next day I woke up feeling like a million bucks, or maybe only $800,000 :P
In the meantime, I figured I'd share with you some things from all my lists- 40 Interesting Things About Me You May or May Not Have Known...
I'm the oldest of 5, my parents are still together, and I have a super tight family
My friends and family are everything. They even went to extremes to make sure that in a Pandemic I was super celebrated. See the "Tymes of Londyn" my parents put together at the bottom here
I graduated college with a BS in Business Finance in 3 years
I had 3 job offers out of college, one for working in the CIA, another for leading a woman's investment group at Smith Barney, and the last one for being the dedicated Financial Investments person for the company Northwestern Mutual Financial Network
I took none of these job offers as I had started reading all the Rich Dad Poor Dad books at this point and decided to switch to real estate buying my first house before I graduated college
How did I buy my first house? My Dad had me save 1/2 of everything I made (which I hated) from the age of 12 years old and onward and had chosen to invest in Disney, Sony (our TV), and Delta (because I flew to see my Granny and PopPop usually on Delta). These funds also paid for my first 2 years of college.
And then I had 6 houses by the age of 25- hence my real estate background
Aquarius's are known for wanting to make an impact on the world, having a ton of friends, and being artistic of which is 100% me
I created a short personal development Sofia Grace cartoon series for children and adults in 2019
I've manifested a brand new Mercedes for less than one I had had for 6 years
I supported a company doubling their sales from $8M-$16M in 2 months with energy healing in 2019
I've facilitated multiple clearings of Covid with instant relief in less than 20 minutes from people that had it really bad
I have multiple articles out there that are still getting hundreds to thousands of views per week
The University of Southern California has had me speak twice, once on alignment such as my book, and once in energy healing meditations
Since moving to Los Angeles, I've been asked to be part of I think 6 or 7 different possible reality shows, so LA
I've published 4 books now, my favorite one thus far was in 2019, Get Aligned Now
I've entertained credit card debt and paid it off multiple times like a trend, until I learned to energy clear that cycle
Even though I've had up to 11 properties under my belt, I am now at 2 waterfront properties in Portland, OR that I've owned since 2005/6 and still have practically no equity
I weigh the same weight I did at 26, maybe less muscle now though
I've been in 3 relationships that have been over one year, though one of those was almost 8 years
I never thought I'd live in LA, I've been here for 7 years, though ONE time, I had written in a journal that I wanted to live in Los Angeles because I felt it had more culture
The main reason I moved to LA was because I felt like I had wings here that I didn't have in Portland, OR and so many people came here to accomplish there dreams.
In November/December 2020, I became a minimalist and sold/let go of almost everything I own including much of my art, snowboarding gear, 5 bikes, so now I'm down to only what can be in a few suitcases in my car
Currently I'm living in a corporate penthouse in Los Angeles that's fully furnished and only have it for 2 months, which is fun for now, so I'll be looking for my next move shortly
I'm intuitive or what other people call psychic. I can see things that others can't on the soul body and I honor this gift about me, though I received my first miracle around the age of 7.
I listen to my intuition for almost 100% of my actions and decisions even down to the point of what I should eat for dinner or wear
I've had 3 last names now, I guess I was super LA before I even moved here :P
I've been part of 7 different startups, 3 of which were failures, 3 of which actually launched, and 1 that actually went somewhere well for a couple years at least.
I've been blessed with Oprah Fairy dust on the Ellen Show
I've only been to 8 countries and have many more to go
At the age of 30 I was told I may never be able to have kids, and now that I'm 40 I just found out I'm more fertile than the average 30 year old- healing really does work!
I do energy healing on myself almost every single day
I use multiple energy tools daily as well such as Tachyon Rods and the Healy and also now sell them to some clients
I've supported multiple people meeting their partner within a couple weeks time, one even got married within 6 months of meeting their partner and became pregnant 2 month later
I've also been in the real estate industry for 20 years and have been involved in over 150 transactions
I've done 13 1/2 Ironman Triathlons... that's a 56 mile bike, 1/2 marathon run (13.1 miles), 1.2 mile swim and other shorter tri's as well
Even though I live near the beach, I'd consider myself a mountain girl, the mountain brings me the most peace... especially on those solo snowboarding days
Through my intuitive energy healing work, I know have friends allllll over the world
I'm in another EXPO giving talks amongst some greats in a UK conference this weekend.
I started a sweatshirt line this past year because I wanted to spread more grace around the world that's overcoming fear.
Of course, there is so much more, but I think these are the most entertaining!
Thank you for being part of my circle! Sending 40 x 1000 blessings to you!
Bethany
